NEWS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, & INSIGHTS FROM JOE

Many of my supporters have asked what our comms plan is.  Here you go:

In the race for Seattle Mayor, voters need to know the difference between candidate Joe Mallahan and Mayor Bruce Harrell.

This race is about leadership.

Joe Mallahan is the changemaker Seattle needs.Mayor Harrell has a disqualifying record of

Communication should follow voter research.

1. Public Safety – Joe will rebuild trust to keep Seattle safe.

Joe’s Plan: Rebuild morale, restore oversight, and fix SPD’s broken culture.

Key Point:  Joe will complete 50 patrol ride-alongs in his first year—because real reform starts on the streets, not behind closed doors.

Harrell’s Failure: Harrell looked the other way while SPD morale collapsed, he bargained away real oversight, and sexual assault cases were abandoned. He kept a corrupt chief in place and protected a culture that failed women.

2. Homelessness – Joe will treat it like the emergency it is.

Joe’s Plan: Restore $100 million in cuts. Build 5,000 tiny homes. Expand mental health and addiction services.

Key Point:  Joe will act—because compassion means action, not excuses.

Harrell’s Failure: Harrell cut shelter funding, stalled services, and let encampments grow unchecked. He talks about compassion—but his cuts made the crisis worse.

3. Affordability – Joe will make Seattle livable again.

Joe’s Plan: Slash red tape, fast-track housing near transit, and partner with trusted developers using federal tools. Joe will fight for working families—not bureaucracy.

Key Point: Joe will cut red tape and build to make Seattle livable for the working class.

Harrell’s Failure: Harrell talks about affordability but gutted housing investments. He’s slow-walked every solution and protected a system that puts process over people.

Bottom Line:Seattle deserves a mayor who leads from the frontlines—not the backroom.Joe Mallahan delivers results. Bruce Harrell delivers excuses.
